The work on GTA 6 could shorten development of future Rockstar games. According to GamesRadar+, technical director Phil Hooker said the studio plans to reuse tools and experience gained during the project.
That includes the software used to build and run the game, alongside the team’s knowledge. With that foundation in place, the expectation is that future projects can move faster.

Tools for future projects
Director Aaron Garbut also noted that many major changes are already in place. The team can build on them instead of rebuilding the entire foundation for each project.
The discussion did not provide a release schedule or announce GTA 7. The plan described is to make better use of what was built while developing Leonida.
