The size of GTA 6's map has been widely discussed since Leonida was introduced. Reporting on an accredited visit to Rockstar, content creator TGG attributed to Rob Nelson the comparison that the full map would be roughly twice the size of GTA V's.
What the comparison reveals about Leonida
The two-times estimate was attributed to the development team in reports from a press presentation. It refers to the overall territory and helps put Leonida's expansion in context against GTA V's setting.

Rockstar has already revealed several regions, including Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga. Their variety shows a setting planned to include urban and natural environments.
It is important not to confuse three different things: total territory size, the amount of built-up land and the distance between cities. A comparison in square kilometers alone does not explain how much content each region will contain.
The comparison reported in the preview helps convey the project's ambition, particularly alongside the urban and natural regions Rockstar has presented.
