Not every message from a stranger in GTA Online has to start an argument. Player u/warpedgalaxy decided to ask what other people had eaten for dinner on Saturday and shared their replies on Reddit. The in-game phone became a place for a conversation far removed from the usual Los Santos chase.

The montage includes replies mentioning pizza, chicken, burgers, sausages, and chicken with rice. One participant said they had not eaten yet. Others joined in with predictable jokes about the questioner’s mother.

Some players asked about his dinner too

A few people kept the conversation going. After describing their meals, they asked the player the same question. Someone who had only tea and bread also wanted to know what he had eaten.

That combination of food, jokes and friendliness gave the post its charm. An ordinary question briefly drew strangers away from the game’s usual rush.

How the replies were collected

In the comments, the author explained that the montage presents the replies in chronological order. Only two responses were left out because they did not say what the person had eaten. Participants’ names are blurred in the shared image.

The player also said he was from Australia when people tried to guess the conversations’ origin based on the food. The person who mentioned tea and bread was from Chile, he said.

The post offered a quieter side of an online session. In a city where someone is almost always speeding or causing trouble, there was still room to ask whether the next person had eaten dinner.
