Rockstar co-founder and president Sam Houser takes part in GTA 6’s creative decisions, including lighting and sound. According to GamesRadar+, Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson described how they review development in a report published on November 2.

Nelson says he works with Houser to identify problems and discuss solutions across teams. His involvement stretches back to the project's conception and overall direction.

From big decisions to small adjustments

At each major stage, Houser and Nelson spend weeks reviewing the game. They look at lighting, audio, story, tone and how it plays, then pass adjustments to the teams responsible.

The work begins with the ideas that define the project and continues through small adjustments. They follow how Leonida’s different parts fit together to maintain a consistent creative direction.
