GTA 6 has not reached players’ consoles yet, but its digital pre-orders are already approaching a landmark figure from GTA 5’s launch. According to Sensor Tower, the new game has generated an estimated $751 million from around 7.71 million copies reserved through PlayStation and Xbox digital stores.
The research company’s dashboard was updated on November 3. Its figures are market estimates, account for returns and do not represent official results published by Rockstar or Take-Two. Purchases of boxed versions are not included.
PS5 accounts for almost three in four pre-orders
The platform breakdown points to 5.74 million PlayStation 5 pre-orders, representing 74% of the tracked total. Estimated revenue on that console is $559 million.

Xbox Series X|S accounts for approximately 1.97 million copies and $192 million, making up the remaining 26% of pre-orders. Together, the figures reach the $751 million displayed in the tracker.
How does that compare with GTA 5’s launch?
GTA 5 exceeded $800 million in sales during the first 24 hours after its September 2013 release. That result covered the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions and was announced by the company at the time.
GTA 6’s estimated $751 million is equivalent to around 94% of the $800 million benchmark. The comparison illustrates the scale of pre-orders, although the current estimate remains below that mark. Exceeding it before release depends on further purchases and confirmation of the results.
GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Until then, tracking pre-orders offers a measure of demand before players begin exploring Leonida.
