A GTA 6 mural in Brooklyn, New York, has appeared with a large tag across the lower part of the painting. Photographs show the word JELOUS in black letters with a light outline, covering parts of the characters and the illustrated car.

According to Beebom, Colossal Media painted the original artwork over seven days, completing it on October 10. Images of the tagged wall were posted by @jelous.ktd on Instagram on November 5, less than a month later.

What changed on the wall

The artwork features an armed Jason and Lucia, palm trees, a red car and the Grand Theft Auto name against a pink and orange background. The tag stretches across the lower section, around the characters’ legs.

Both protagonists’ faces and the game’s name remain visible. The wider photograph also shows Colossal branding at the base of the wall and PS5 advertising near the bottom of the painting.

The wall is at Wythe Avenue and North 11th Street in Williamsburg. Residents had already photographed the artwork during production, when the wall still showed outlines waiting to be filled with the advertisement’s colours.

Both images in this article show the mural after it was tagged, from different angles. One provides a closer view of the characters and lettering, while the other shows the wall and surrounding pavement.

GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
