Leave Vice City looking for peace and you may find plenty of company. According to GamesRadar+'s October 30 overview, GTA 6 will feature over 170 animal species, including more than 60 bird types and over 30 land mammals.
The animals listed include iguanas, alligators, flamingos, dolphins and manatees, identified in trailers, images and game presentations.
A reason to look beyond the road
Players will be able to study animals and record them in an in-game catalogue, similarly to Red Dead Redemption 2. The demonstration also showed interactions with dogs.
Discoveries beyond the everyday wildlife
There are rare and legendary animals, alongside others left for players to discover through exploration. In the demonstrated dog encounter, Jason can praise it from a distance and pet or scold it up close. Fur and feathers have also been improved and change appearance with water and dirt.
For players who enjoy exploring at their own pace, the wildlife offers a reason to leave Vice City’s streets and discover other parts of Leonida.
