GTA 5’s Michael actor, Ned Luke, kept roughly 3,500 pages of the game’s script. According to GamesRadar+, he showed the stack during a conversation on The Final Mission. The material gives a sense of how many scenes he recorded during production.
Joining him were Steve Haines actor Rob Bogue and Dave Norton actor Julian Gamble. The three recalled a production where even the cast never had the whole script in their hands.
The script arrived in pieces
Scenes were recorded out of order, with long gaps between sessions. Luke collected the material as it arrived until it became the stack shown on the program. Asked why he kept it, he explained that he was already a gamer and understood the project could become something big.

Even the project’s name changed to protect secrecy. Luke remembered Rush at his audition and Paradise on the script pages. Individual watermarks made it possible to trace a potential leak back to the recipient.
The day the wind nearly carried the secret away
Bogue recalled a gust scattering 25 script pages through New York. He recovered only three. With the pages individually marked, he feared the mishap could put his job at risk.
The colleagues laugh about it today. At the time, Bogue had to run through New York trying to recover the pages before someone found them.
